Pointe Shoe Tying & Tips
When learning to tie pointe shoes, it is good to have a visual. Here is a good, short video that I found on Youtube that has a short explanation on how to tie pointe shoes. The video also contains some pointe shoe tips. This video is by the Anaheim Ballet.

ReplyDeleteBe careful not to make the crossing of ribbons on tendons. Bend the knee over the toe to activate the tendon on top of the foot and back of the heel so they are not pinched or damaged when the shoe is tied.The ribbon is to be tied and tucked at the soft part of the ankle, behind the bone on the inside of your ankle between the ankle bone and the back o your foot (avoiding any tendons and bone.)
